Help Us Build the Future of Football at West End FC
An astro pitch isn’t just about convenience — it’s about unlocking year‑round sport, protecting player safety, reducing costs, and strengthening community spirit. For West End, it means no more cancelled games, more inclusive opportunities, and a facility that supports grassroots sport for generations.

The main objective of the community project is to:
• Establish, manage and operate a fit-for-purpose community space that enhances the existing footprint and facilities at West End Park.
• Increasing utilisation across both peak and off-peak times spread across club and local community groups.
• Support broader participation in sporting activities by local community, and other third sector organisations.
• Support the ongoing development of West End Football Club, enhance its existing positive footprint and impact and within the local community.
• Support the drive for the club to provide a long-term impact on the local community through supporting the club’s growth and development

400 players. 12 year groups. One pitch. Endless opportunities
400+ players across 12 year groups will have reliable, year‑round access to training and matches. No more cancelled sessions due to rain, frost, or muddy grass — every team can stay on schedule. Coaches can plan with confidence, knowing the pitch will be playable in all conditions.
Our vision goes beyond building a pitch — we’re creating a central venue that strengthens community life.
Identity: A true “home ground” that instills pride, belonging, and legacy for generations.
Schools: A safe, modern facility for PE lessons, after‑school clubs, and inter‑school tournaments.
Families: A welcoming hub where parents, children, and supporters can gather, celebrate, and connect.
Events: Space for tournaments, festivals, and fundraising activities that bring people together.
This pitch isn’t just about sport — it’s about community cohesion. By providing a central venue, we’re giving West End a place where friendships are built, achievements are celebrated, and the community comes together under one banner.

Fundraising Milestones

The Club has committed to an ambitious internal fundraising target of £200,000 to build our new astro pitch.
We are delighted to share that by the end of 2025 we have already raised an incredible £150,000 across 2024 and 2025. This achievement reflects the dedication, generosity, and community spirit of everyone involved — from players and parents to sponsors and supporters.
The clubs outstanding efforts throughout the years have brought us significantly closer to our goal. Every donation, event, and act of support has made a tangible difference, and together we are proving what can be achieved when a community unites behind a shared vision.
The Club will continue to work tirelessly through 2026 to reach our full internal goal.
To complement our incredible community fundraising efforts, the Club plans to apply for the SFA Sports Facility Fund in Q1 2026 which is 50% of the build costs. Securing support from the SFA will accelerate our journey to deliver a modern, weather‑proof pitch that belongs to the whole community. It’s the next big step in turning our vision into reality.
